Ajax MotionCam S (PhOD) is a wireless PIR that has a built-in camera that takes pictures when the detector is triggered. It only takes 9 seconds to show the actual situation on the scene. With visual documentation available in the Ajax apps, the security company can quickly verify the threat and respond accordingly. Image verification relieves users of unnecessary anxiety and prevents security companies from false patrol calls. Users can take an on-demand picture with a single tap to monitor the condition of their house at any time. The detector can also automatically take pictures upon an alarm by another device in the system and according to a specific schedule.

The detector only needs a few seconds to show the current situation on the scene and remove the user's doubts in the event of an alarm. It requires a click in the Ajax app to take an on-demand picture. It can also automatically take pictures according to a schedule and when another detector in the system is triggered, such as a smoke alarm.

When an armed detector identifies movement, it immediately sends an alarm to the hub. A control panel activates the sirens connected to the system, triggers scenarios and notifies users and the security company. The Ajax app log shows all alarms and events. The messages contain the name of the hub, the name of the device and the virtual room to which the detector is assigned.

The built-in camera can take from 1 to 5 images with a resolution of 160 × 120 and 320 × 240 pixels, as well as up to 3 images with a resolution of 640 × 480 pixels.

The detector has an IR backlight for recording in the dark, which is activated in insufficient light. MotionCam S (PhOD) takes black and white images when recording in these conditions.
