Identec's loop reader for "true" contactless cards. CR1 is used in installations where you want fast and convenient reading of cards without having to bring the card to the reader. The card can remain in the pocket, but it will be registered when it passes an access point. Identec's Census readers use active cards/tags and are distinguished by the fact that they can read many cards at a time. The reading speed is 55 cards per second. The RF communication between card and reader is encrypted to increase security and exclude misreading. The error rate is below 1:1,000,000. When using a loop reader with an external antenna, the reading distance can be increased to 3 meters. The reader is supplied with various outputs. Cards and tags have low battery indication.
