Multiple Cryptag® Census® tags can be used simultaneously without loss of accuracy. RF communication between each tag and reader is encrypted to eliminate the risk of counterfeit tokens being used. Low battery indicator is a standard feature.

Cryptags® patented technology offers many advantages to system designers, integrators and end users. Not least because these tags do not interfere with other electronic monitoring systems and therefore do not result in false alarms etc. The typical error rate for Cryptag® Census® is 1:100 million in the worst case - this is significantly better than any other tag system. Cryptag® Census® tags can be supplied with a fixed one-time programmed 32 or 64 bit code. Strict factory audits ensure that no two tags are ever issued with the same ID number.

TC1 Cryptags® have a passive shelf life of 7 years or more, when stored at 20° C. Operational life depends on usage. Based on 36 uses per day of 10 seconds each, or six minutes of continuous interaction per day, the typical lifespan at 20° C is 3 years or more.
