The P100-186 Glass Break Simulator is designed to test glass break detectors.
The device produces accurate sounds that mimic the breaking of glass. When a glass break sensor hears the sound, it should respond. This will let the user know that the sensor is working properly.
Can mimic the sound of 3 different types of glass:
- tempered
- coated
- laminated
The glass break simulator should ideally be used from multiple locations during the testing process. This will help the user ensure that their glass break detector is working from different angles. The battery should be replaced after a few years. A red LED light on the device indicates that the battery is strong and that the simulator is working properly. If the LED light is not illuminated, the device likely requires a battery replacement.
When testing glass break, make sure to point the simulator at the sensor. Ideally, the test should be performed within 2 meters of the sensor. The test should be repeated from multiple angles to ensure that the sensor can accurately pick up sounds from different directions.
