Energy, supply, data and transport
NIS2 and encrypted communication
Challenge
Stricter EU requirements for cybersecurity
– and more are on the way in 2027
As the geopolitical climate intensifies, the EU is placing increasingly higher demands on member states’s critical infrastructure. This applies to both physical and digital security, with reference to, for example, the NIS2 Directive (Network and Information Security Directive 2) and the CRA Regulation (Cyber Resilience Act).
The requirements are not static but are continuously evolving, which means that systems are expected to be adaptable in accordance with these changes.
One of the advantages of ARAS and the NOX System is that it is continuously developed in line with high and evolving security standards.
Technology solution
End-to-end encryption
+ prepared for the future
With NOX and SIMS, a system of the highest security class is delivered, which also operates within the customer’s closed network and without any requirement for a connection to a server.
With NOX, the customer benefits from end-to-end encryption across the entire chain — from the end user’s DESFire card to the card readers, from the card readers to the door module, and from the door module to the control unit.
ARAS is also a co-developer of NOX, with new functionality continuously rolled out in line with customer requirements. This is a key factor in future-proofing the system and ensuring that it meets increasingly stringent requirements.
ARAS Security's co-development of NOX has facilitated the achievement of our company's high security requirements.
Implementation
Expertise in project management
in many different industries and project types
With the ongoing introduction of stricter requirements for critical infrastructure, ARAS keeps pace with demand and is able to deliver quickly and securely. ARAS has expertise and extensive experience in project management across organizations and companies of all sizes.
Through ARAS Academy, several hundred certified installers are trained annually in Denmark. Due to the openness of the NOX system, all of them have the opportunity to sell and install NOX.
ARAS Academy ensures high professionalism and is always up to date with the latest knowledge.
Result
Rapid deployment of security improvements
without unnecessary costs
With the NOX system, a large number of facilities can quickly increase their security level. At the same time, system administration and maintenance are centralized, thereby avoiding unnecessary costs and cumbersome administration.
ARAS’ experience in project management ensured a fast and efficient commissioning.
Experiences
The future is more NOX
100% future-proof
Infrastructure often consists of many individual installations across numerous geographically dispersed facilities, which with NOX are combined into a single unified solution. NOX is compatible with continuously tightening security requirements and can always be updated and expanded.
It is an obvious choice for us to continue using NOX for our future solutions. The system is future-proof and easy to implement at new locations.
